Explore 40 marvelous artist studios at the Royal Docks in Newham, and enjoy a day of creative activity. This event has something special for everyone.
Open Studios events are an opportunity to see the magic that usually goes on behind closed doors. Visitors and local residents are welcome inside the studios to witness the work, and take part in free creative workshops and activities. The event is family-friendly, and no prior artistic experience is required to attend.
Making Waves: Collaging a Boat Adventure
Create, play, explore and learn with us!
Join artist educator Matt Ponting for a free family collaging workshop. Create your own story of a boat voyage through text and collage whilst looking over the docklands at Royal Albert Wharf.
Workshop times: 11:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 16:00

Traces of Spring: Cyanotype Printing Activity
Join Annamaria Antonazzo in her studio for a spring themed cyanotype printing activity. Visitors are invited to create their own A5 cyanotype print using sunlight and simple drawn imagery.
Activity times: 11:00–17:00 (with a break from 13:45–14:15)

Access Information
The Royal Albert Wharf Open Studios will be held in our artist studios. This event is suitable for all ages, and families with children are encouraged to attend.
Our studios have step-free access throughout from street level, including to the accessible toilet, and are service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.
