Bermondsey Project Space (SE1) is a vibrant creative hub consisting of artist studios, gallery space and enterprise centre run in partnership between Bow Arts and Crisis.

A visit to either gallery enables students to learn about the relationship between artist and gallery. Students work with professionals to gain an understanding of contemporary gallery practices and technical and creative approaches to displaying their work. The visit can be tailored to your learners’ needs to include one or more of the following:

  • A talk and discussion led by a curator about approaches to curating and interpretation
  • A talk and discussion led by a gallery professional about the realities of running a gallery space
  • Workshops on how to hang a show, prepare an exhibition list or write a catalogue entry
  • A practical session on producing, displaying and interpreting site-specific art

  • To further students’ knowledge, understanding and skills in the technical and creative aspects of exhibiting art
  • To learn about artists and their work, the creative industries and career pathways
  • To enhance and enrich existing curriculum provision
