This year Arts Council England have announced their support of Bow Skills, our dynamic and relevant programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Led by a Bow Arts’ artist steering group and informed by artist feedback, Bow Skills’ overall aim is to:
Provide a relevant and useful programme of CPD for artists to learn new skills and knowledge they can apply to their own practice and career.
Since the inception of Bow Skills in 2015, a small and friendly steering group of artists has met to discuss and inform the programme. Each year we send out an invitation to artists to refresh and grow this steering group.
All creative disciplines and career stages are welcome.
As a member of the steering group, you are expected to:
- Attend the steering group meetings
- Help out at 1 or more events, for example by signing people in or helping clear up
In return you can:
- Attend as many events as you wish from the Bow Skills 2018/9 programme for free (provided you book a free place on Eventbrite)
- Help shape the Bow Skills 2018 programme
The steering group will meet 2-3 times this year. The first meeting will be 4-6pm, Monday 14th May 2018 at Bow Arts, 183 Bow Road, E3 2SJ.
Meetings 2 & 3 – dates tbc.
To express interest in joining the group please reply to this email with a short paragraph expressing why you would like to be involved to email@example.com
Deadline 5pm Thursday 10th May 2018 – I will contact you ASAP to confirm your attendance at the 1st meeting.
Whilst this is not a competitive process, if we receive too many applications we will have to select from the expressions received.
