During the second block of Open Workshops at Temple Print Studio we will be looking at monoprinting and monotype, experimenting with a number of different approaches to making one-off prints on paper. This class is open to all levels and you are free to come to any session or all if you are keen to develop your skills further.
When you come for your first evening you will learn about what monoprinting is, the diversity in approaches, and make a start by creating unique prints playing around with colour, texture and line. You will be given demonstrations on how to use various tools for mark making and applying oil based inks, rollers, and transferring ink to paper without the use of a printing press.
Those coming back for another session can make use of the time to develop their skills further, whether that be trying out a different monoprinting technique, realising an idea for a print, or just experimenting in the studio with colours and textures
