Workshop: Community Lantern Making with Yuliya V Krylova

Yuliya V Krylova will be sharing the skills to create your own winter lanterns using willow withies and decorative paper. The lanterns will be on display during the Royal Albert Wharf Winter Market, lighting up the docklands with a gentle glow.
Join us for a free workshop with Yuliya V Krylova, where we invite community members from Newham and beyond to get together to create a selection of lanterns inspired by the landscape by the Royal Docks, which will be installed around the docklands over winter for passers by to enjoy.

Using variety of materials, participants will be invited to get hands-on, bringing their own creative inspirations, unique methods, and personality to the workshop. No previous experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
Visitors are welcome to drop-in and at their leisure, and stay for as long or as little time as they wish.

The Royal Albert Wharf Winter Market will be held outside, along the waterfront, in suitable weather. This event is suitable for all ages, and families with children are encouraged to attend.
The space has step-free access throughout from street level, including to an accessible
toilet in the Well Bean Co, and is service animal friendly. This venue does not have a hearing loop system.
