The Ground Beneath Me – Laisul Hoque

Laisul Hoque premieres a new installation, film, and works on paper, exploring microhistories and personal memory alongside the context of political shifts and turmoil in Bangladesh.

Nunnery Gallery

The Nunnery Gallery is our not-for-profit, free, contemporary art space, situated in a former, nineteenth-century convent. It hosts thought-provoking exhibitions and events, including the internationally acclaimed, biennial, moving image show Visions, our annual Bow Open, showcasing our studio artists’ work, and our locally inspired Raw Materials.

Enjoy a coffee and some lunch in our cosy Nunnery Café, serving a selection of locally made cakes, pastries, toasties, soups and other delicious treats. Tucked away down Bow Arts Lane and adjoined to the Nunnery Gallery, it’s the perfect place to unwind, meet friends and engage with the Bow Arts community.

Roman Road’s famous market offers the experience of a traditional street market that has stayed true to its east end roots and offers fantastic bargains.

Chisenhale Gallery

A non-profit contemporary art gallery with an ambitious programme, giving access to the energy and ideas of an ever-expanding artist community. Found in an old veneer factory and brewery warehouse, they commission and produce contemporary art.
